2017-Oct-24 - FlightZulu is looking for volunteers to help test their new flight software! They are building an app for tracking your flying adventures and sharing them with friends. Click here to subscribe to become a tester or to keep in touch!

2017-Oct-09 - Attention Debert pilots (and all pilots for that matter)! The South Shore Flying Club is having a Coffee hour at CFAU on Saturday, October 14th from 8:00am until noon (rain date is the 15th). Coffee and donuts will be provided! This is the perfect time of the year to get up there and see the forests of Nova Scotia in all their fall finery, so why not plan a beautiful morning flight down to Liverpool? Kick the tires and light the fires early Saturday morning at the Debert airport, and join your fellow pilots for a Liverpool fly-out! 2017-Oct-01 - It's that time of the year again! The sun is setting earlier, the evenings are a little cooler, so why not come out and start (or continue) your night rating. Night flying opens up a whole new world of smoother and less congested skies, so why not add a night rating to your flying repertoire? Contact us for more info!

2017-Sep-26 - Come and join us for our first autumn breakfast fly-in of the season! The Truro Flying Club is having a breakfast at 9 am next Saturday! All funds go direct to COPA for kids. 2017-Jul-01 - UPDATE - the event time has been changed to 3:00pm. Well, summer is finally here and we are having a barbeque on Saturday, July 8th at 3:00pm for members, guests and friends. Plan to head out to the Debert airport for lunch that day just as the first burgers are coming off the grill! Contact us for more info, and we hope to see you there!

2017-Jun-17 - UPDATE - the event date has been changed to Saturday, July 8th. Hey all you Mainlanders! Come out and show your support for our neighbours across the Strait as COPA 57 hosts another one of their scrumptious BBQ lunches in the PEI Flying Association club house at the Charlottetown Airport. Head out to the Debert airport at around 11:00am on Saturday, July 8th, top-up with some of the region's most reasonably priced avgas, and scoot over to the Island to arrive just as the first burgers are coming off the grill!

2017-Jun-09 - Attention all Club Members! Our annual Steak and Lobster Dinner is on June 17th at 6:00pm. Tickets are $25 and need to be purchased prior to June 14th. Guests must be accompanied by a member. There will be a small cash bar. It is going to be a great event with lots of good food and great company. The band is all set to play, and we have some special plans and prizes to boot! This year’s event is sponsored by Aerotec engines. What we need from you are volunteers and deserts. If you have an old family recipe please make it and bring it out. Contact us for more information and to reserve tickets, and we'll see you on the 17th!

2017-May-29 - There's a Club Breakfast scheduled for this Saturday, June 3rd from 9 to 11am. Please come out to the first Club Breakfast of the season, and then when lunch rolls around hop back in your plane and scoot over to Charlottetown for their lunch BBQ! Contact us for more information, and we'll see you on Saturday!

2017-Apr-09 - This year is the 100th anniversary of the battle of Vimy Ridge. It is also Canada's 150th year of nationhood. As part of the celebration on May 20th we will have 5 World War I aircraft coming through Debert. It will be a combination of Nieuport 15s and Sopwith Pups. There will be lunch, so come out and see the show! Click here for more details.

2017-Feb-05 - The Club's Annual General Meeting will be held at 7 PM on Monday March 6th at the Truro Flying Club in Debert. The meeting is open to all members (implies you've paid your membership). Please plan to attend and consider becoming a director and/or nominating someone you think would represent the members' interests and support the aims of the Club. We have several types of memberships: the most common are Flying memberships and Sustaining memberships. All active Flying and Sustaining members pay the annual membership fee; Sustaining members have also paid a "one time" sustaining membership fee. If you would like to vote on issues at the meeting, your annual membership must be paid up and you must be a sustaining (honorary or life) member. If you aren't sure about your status, contact the Club directly at 902 662 2228. See you there!
